Restaurant Georges Marceau
Located in western part of Japan, Kyushu is surrounded by the ocean and mountains, and blessed with abundance from both the sea and soil. We at the Georges Marceau Group are based in the gateway city Fukuoka, and through French cuisine we have been conveying the very best of Kyushu to all.
Japanese food culture has long history of “dashi” or soup stock. Dashi brings out the natural flavors in ingredients such that no flavor enhancers are needed. We respect dashi as the very basis of Japanese cuisine in that it enables the body to assimilate without stress, the savor the natural ingredients. To this we join elements of our accumulated knowledge of the principles of French. This is chef Konishi’s philosophy of “Japanese French”.
Recently more people from abroad, mainly from Asia, are visiting Japan but unfortunately we do not have staff fluent in foreign languages. We hope to improve, but for now all we can offer is our finest hospitality and heartfelt smiles, so that you can fully enjoy your dining experience at Georges Marceau.
We at the Georges Marceau Group would like to inform the people of Japan and all over the world about Kyushu, through food.
